Do You Need a Car for a Stay in Venice Beach?

From the hotel on Rose Avenue, Gjusta is 0.4 mile away and Gjelina restaurant is 1 mile away on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. A morning at the beach and a meal nearby can form a day without a drive. A dinner a mile away also means deciding how you want to get back afterward.

Put your fixed plans on a map before choosing a rental. Look at the whole day's walking, including the return journeys. Consider what feels comfortable for everyone traveling with you, whether that means a shorter walk, a ride or a different plan for the afternoon.

Street parking on Rose Avenue and Navy Street is subject to posted rules, including street-sweeping restrictions. Read the signs where you park; finding a space does not tell you how long you can use it.

Include parking in your transport budget alongside the rental. For a stay spent close to the hotel, compare that total with the specific rides you expect to need. For a trip with several stops beyond Venice, compare the same costs against the convenience of having a car available.

Plan airport arrival separately

Getting to the hotel and getting around the neighborhood are separate decisions. If you fly into Los Angeles International Airport, check its current transport options and pickup instructions before traveling. Save the hotel's address, 15 Rose Avenue, Venice, and plan the return journey as well.
